Monkey Bread

Yield: 8–10 servings



2 20 oz White pizza dough rounds

1 ½ C Sugar

1 T Ground cinnamon

½ # Butter, melted

1 T Butter, cut in small pieces

Method of Preparation:

  1. Let dough sit at room temperature for about an hour until it begins to rise

  2. Spray a loaf or bunt cake pan with baking oil

  3. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl

  4. Using a small amount of flour on the counter gently flatten the pizza dough with your fingers until it’s about 1” thick

  5. Cut each dough rounds into approximately 25 1” cubes

  6. Dip dough cubes in butter, roll in cinnamon sugar, and place them into the oiled pan—sprinkle top with remaining sugar and dot with the butter pieces

  7. Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes, rotate pan every 15 minutes or so—if dough begins to get too brown gently tent bread with aluminum foil

  8. Remove pan from oven and cool for about 20 minutes on a cooling rack before inverting onto a serving platter

    Monkey Bread is delicious as is or can be garnished with nuts, fruit and caramel sauce.
